Looking for a fun way to get kids writing? Whether your child loves fantasy, animals, silly adventures, or mysterious worlds, short story prompts are a brilliant and low-pressure way to spark creativity and build confidence with writing.
Before we get into it, we've put together some top tips for young writers! If your child isn’t sure where to begin, try these three steps:
Encourage them to include dialogue, exciting descriptions, and a clear beginning, middle, and end.
Our short story prompts include helpful questions and ideas to guide young writers as they plan their story. All that’s left to do is grab a pencil, notebook, or keyboard and let imaginations run wild!
